single space: Myiami, by Christian Löffler
a new sound between ambient and electronica, from Germany
Christian Löffler is a German musician. After some field recording, he processed (without expensive studio equipment) various sounds on the drum machine1.
This song comes from Mare, his second album published in 2016 with the self-created record label Ki Records.
It starts with glass-like sounds, then a beat appears from the drum machine.
The song is instrumental, there are no lyrics.
The beat become more persistent, the sound starts to build up.
There is a reverb, now.
The music surrounds you, the rhythm increases, now it feels like a run.
You’re questioning where this is going.
The song is completed in itself.
It’s fading now, the wave has passed, “Mare” is now calm (but the record just started).
I didn’t even noticed the song was on repeat, the flow of the song comes in circles and cycles.
